If no fans are initially on jog the fan motors to ensure proper rotation direction. To do this firmly press the button on the front of any contactor to apply power to that fan. The fans should rotate in a counterclockwise direction and a strong current of air should be felt above the fan. 9. If rotation direction is incorrect disconnect power and switch any two phases of the incoming power. System Information A Honeywell T775L2007 temperature controller is used to control the cooling tower. It will arrive pre-programmed to your specifications and additional setup should not be necessary. If fine tuning is required a manual for the controller has been supplied with the VIRGA III documentation. Refer to Section 1 and Section 2 for programming the controller. The most important functions are summarized below. The picture at right shows the temperature controller HOME screen. In order to reach programming functions from the home screen either press the MENU button to reach the MENU screen or press and hold the button for the SETUP screen. The MENU menu allows the user to adjust the set point throttle range and mode. The SETUP menu allows the user to adjust the higher-level functions such as the number of loops number of relays on delay off delay differential and integral. The set point is the desired temperature of the water leaving the tower. The first fan will always turn on when the water temperature reaches the set point. To adjust the set point 1. Press MENU. 2. Select PROGRAM. Press RIGHT. 3. Select LOOP 1. Press RIGHT. 4. Select SETPOINT. Press RIGHT. 5. Adjust the set point using the UP or DOWN arrows. To confirm the new selection press RIGHT. The throttling range determines at what temperature the rest of the fan stages turn on. The user selects the throttling range and the controller divides the output stages evenly along the range. This function is explained on Page 11 of the supplied Honeywell manual under Staged Operation. To adjust the throttling range Questions Call 844-NIMBUS3. 3
